Things to Do in Timaru

Timaru Attractions Close to Fitzgerald on King

Fitzgerald on King is on Princes Street in Timaru, a short walk from the Timaru Botanic Gardens and a few minutes’ drive from Caroline Bay and the town centre. That makes it an easy base for exploring South Canterbury, from the beach and playground at Caroline Bay to Māori rock art at Te Ana, local history at the South Canterbury Museum, and walking and biking tracks at Centennial Park. Here are some of our favourite things to do in Timaru.

Caroline Bay is the most widely known of all the parks in the Timaru District.
